Coke-Zero 400 The NASCAR drivers will head to one of the most famous race tracks in America to battle for the Coke-Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.  Kurt Busch is fresh off a victory last week while his brother, Kyle leads the Sprint Cup standings.  Jeff Burton sits 64 points behind Busch with Dale Earnhardt Jr. in third ahead of Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson.  610 Sports coverage begins at 6 PM on Sunday.   Click here for more. KU Preseason Awards The college football season is just around the corner and the preseason watch lists feature Kansas Jayhawks.  Quarterback Todd Ressing was named to the Maxwell Award Watch.  Linebacker Mike Rivera made the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List as the two players were announced at the Maxwell Football Club.  Kansas will take the field on August 30th against Florida International at Memorial Stadium.  Click here for more. Beasley Drafted No. 2 As expected, the rumors were not true surrounding the Miami Heat possibly passing on drafting Michael Beasley at the second pick in the draft.  Beasley will head to South Beach next season and join a talented roster with Dwayne Wade and Shawn Marion.  Beasley's teammate last season, Bill Walker was selected in the second round and 47th overall to the Washington Wizards.  Washington eventually traded the pick to the Boston Celtics.  Click here for more. 610 Sports Breakfast Series Kansas head coach Bill Self joined the first installment of the 610 Sports Breakfast Series.  Coach Self discussed the National Championship victory over Memphis along with the exciting off season that included a trip to the White House.  The host of the Morning Sports Drive, Roger Twibell also asked Coach about his new-look team heading into the 2008 season with several new freshman heading to the University of Kansas.  Click here to listen.
